Greetings musicians and friends,

This is a brief reminder about the upcoming Long Point concert, set to take place on August 19 at 4 pm at The Wall. We will provide high-quality sound equipment for everyone, although you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. As for the performance, we're planning a group finale similar to last year's.

We're also excited to announce a new member to our group, Don Buerk, a talented saxophonist from Bala Cynwyd, PA. Don and his wife, Stephie, are renting the Vella house for the entire month of August.

Ice Cream Social Organizers Jess Lukas, Chelsea Tedder, and Katy Nunn are teaming up with Anne & Jim Lampman who are generously donating ice cream for our Annual Ice Cream Social – A family favorite since 1988!  Bring your bowl and spoon and let’s meet at the park at East and Bay Roads!!  You scream, I scream, we ALL SCREAM for ICE CREAM!  And maybe some sprinkles…….

Join us for Long Point Corp's 64th Annual Shareholder Meeting, where we will discuss future outlook and strategies for growth. This is an excellent opportunity for shareholders to engage with the community and ask questions, and share their thoughts. We look forward to your attendance and valuable input.

Emily Johnston from Addison County's Solid Waste Management District, will demonstrate composting techniques and other ways to reduce what goes to the landfill. Tentative location: Long Point Community Gardens.

Learn about pollinators and Long Point's new pollinator garden from the creators of that garden, Bee the Change. Meet at the flagpole on Long Point Road and bring your own beverage.

Fourth of July Boat Parade - Join the Fun!

Get ready to set sail and celebrate Independence Day in style! Deck out your boat with Fourth of July flags and banners, and join us for a festive boat parade! 🇺🇸🎉

📍 We'll meet at 4pm on the water, north side of Gardiner Island (off the west side of Long Point in Hawkins Bay).

🚤 Parade style lineup, following the LP shoreline, into LP Bay, and then into Pleasant Bay.

🌊 All watercraft welcome - we'll move slowly so everyone can keep up. Smaller boats can join along the route.

⏰ Parade duration: Approximately 30 minutes.

Spectators, we'd love your participation! Cheer from your camps, honk boat horns, and show your enthusiasm! 🎉📣 Great vantage points for watching include LP Bay Beach & Pleasant Bay Beach. See you there!

PLEASE bring gloves and a shovel, rake, or any other equipment you think is useful.  If you cannot join the group, please be sure to have your piles of yard debris and sticks by the road and, if possible, be available to help.  Please remember that we cannot pick up anything man-made.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to help!  Questions?
